VRV Systems

Daikin’s VRV platform is the backbone of commercial air conditioning in London. We work with the full range:

Daikin’s Sky Air Alpha series sits between residential splits and full VRV systems. Popular in small offices, shops, and restaurants where you need more capacity than a wall split but don’t need a full VRF installation.

Split and Multi-Split Systems

Wall mounted, ceiling mounted, cassette, and ducted indoor units — Daikin makes the lot. We install new systems, replace aging R22 and R407C units with current R32 models, and service everything in between.

Common Daikin Faults We Fix

Every AC brand has its recurring issues. With Daikin, these are the fault codes we see most often across London:

• U4 — Communication fault between indoor and outdoor units. Usually a wiring issue, damaged comms cable, or a failed PCB. We trace the fault systematically — swapping boards blindly wastes time and money.
• L5 — Compressor overcurrent. Can indicate a failing compressor, but more often it’s a dirty condenser coil restricting airflow, low refrigerant charge, or a faulty inverter board. We diagnose before we quote parts.
• A3 — Condensate overflow. Blocked drain, failed condensate pump, or a cracked drain pan. Simple to fix, expensive to ignore — water damage to ceilings and floors adds up fast.
• E7 — Fan motor fault. Indoor fan motor failure or a locked rotor. We carry replacement fan motors for common Daikin indoor units and can usually resolve this same-day.

We also handle less common faults — inverter board failures, expansion valve issues, refrigerant leaks, and sensor drift. If it’s a Daikin, we’ve seen it before.

R32 Transition

Daikin has been transitioning their range from R410A to R32 refrigerant. R32 has a lower GWP (global warming potential), which matters under current F-Gas regulations. We’re fully set up for R32 — our engineers carry the right recovery equipment, gauges, and brazing gear for both refrigerants.

If you’re running older R410A Daikin equipment, it’s not obsolete yet. Parts are still available and the systems run fine. But when replacement time comes, the new R32 units are more efficient and future-proofed against tightening refrigerant regulations.

Parts and Spares

We stock common Daikin parts at our base — PCBs, fan motors, thermistors, condensate pumps, and filters. For less common parts, Daikin’s UK warehouse in Weybridge typically delivers next-day. That means most breakdowns are resolved on the first or second visit, not dragged out over a week waiting for parts.

Every Daikin system we install comes with a planned preventative maintenance option. Regular servicing catches minor faults before they become expensive breakdowns, keeping your Daikin equipment running efficiently year-round.
